The tasks
Based on traditional neuropsychological tests
Designed to engage the 5 core elements of cognition
Multiple tasks to activate each dimension
MINDer Monitor has tasks that utilize several different dimensions:
Working memory (The ability to actively hold and manipulate any form of information)
Verbal memory (relating specifically to information in word format).
Visuospatial (relating to locations and shapes in space)
All of minders tasks are either working or short term memory, not long term.
Attention isn't just one's ability to notice and focus on a single thing, it is an active process that allows you to complete a task.
The tasks require different degrees of cognitive flexibility, scanning and task switching.
Executive function is your control and utilisation of your attention, focus and behaviour. It allows for things such as planning, solving problems and adapting to new situations and information.
Psychomotor speed is all about the rate of processing information then appropriately physically responding to a stimulus.
It's effectively the efficiency of the process of translating thought to action.
Social cognition is the ability to perceive, understand, and respond to social information. This could be verbal or non-verbal communication.
The consistent way to see how you perform over time.
How does it work?
Choose your frequency:
Yearly, bi-yearly, quarterly or Unlimited
-
Receive reminders when it's time to re-run your tasks
-
Schedule in doing tasks that take between 3-10 min each
-
Reports show you your scores over time on multiple metrics.
Why not more regularly?

The consistent way to see how you perform over time.
Why do we suggest you limit the frequency of doing tasks?
Firstly. Practice effects.
We all know the more you do something the better you get at it.
So, if you do the tests multiple times over a short amount of time, regularly, you'll find that unless something drastic happens to alter your cognitive state significantly - you're more likely to seen an improvement in scores simply due to practice.
Secondly. Engagement.
The tasks are pretty short, but the benefit of tracking is lost if you get sick of doing them, which you're more likely to do if you do them a lot.
How you track your cognitive wellness is ultimately up to you, that's why we have our unlimited package. For example, the tasks can be used as a way to keep your brain stimulated over time.

MINDer Monitor is not a medical device.
It is intended to be used by individuals as a way to track their cognitive well-being over time by providing games that act as a consistent benchmark.
As such it is a wellness tool, in the same way that a fitness tracker is only a wellness tool that measures heart rate and sleep for informational purposes.
It cannot be used by anyone to inform clinical decisions, nor can it be used to diagnose any form of medical condition.
It is not a replacement for clinical evaluation. Concerns should always be raised with a health professional.
The tasks do not replace a full neuropsych assessment.
